The Project

Have you ever noticed that science-fiction movies often show advanced civilizations, but rarely reveal what made them possible?

The Age After — Mystery Experience introduces a limited-edition, do-it-yourself riddle and escape-room-style mystery board game, presented as a physical book-shaped mystery vault.

The experience combines a sequence of connected riddle files, archive-style investigation, physical interaction, and a larger science-fiction story. Players enter the mystery as investigators: examining clues, uncovering evidence, solving interconnected puzzles, and gradually reconstructing a story that connects the past with an advanced human civilization of the future.

During the pre-campaign, the community will be invited to participate in exclusive polls and surveys that will help shape selected gameplay choices and influence parts of the mythology, history, and future of The Age After.

At the center of the experience is the physical RIDDLE VAULT — ARCHIVE BOOK 001 — Founding Architect Edition: a book-shaped mystery vault with integrated lighting, a four-digit locking mechanism, and a design inspired by an archive recovered from the future.

The mystery inside it is now entering its next stage of development. The complete sequence of riddles, clues, archive files, instructions, and gameplay is being developed and tested before the final limited edition is produced.

Architects Of The Age After

People who join this first validation community become founding Architects. You will not simply support a game. You will become Architects of the Age After.

Together, we will decide key questions with interesting surveys:

  • What event marked the end of the current human age?
  • Why did the State become obsolete?
  • What became humanity’s greatest goal?
  • What are the true foundations of an advanced human civilization?
  • Could an advanced civilization exist without central governments?
  • …and more.

Your voice will become part of the foundation of this future universe.

Together, we will help shape the future of this advanced civilization.

Story-Driven Gameplay

The year is 2597.

Humanity has built a civilization that earlier ages could only imagine. Borders and centralized political structures belong to the old world. There are no presidents, governments or states. Artificial intelligence is no longer treated as a substitute for human purpose; instead, it amplifies creativity, knowledge, freedom and free will... New forms of human potential have begun to emerge.

But one question remains buried in the forgotten archives of history: WHAT COMES AFTER THE STATE?

Part IV: The Advanced Age follows Elyas, a young historian from the year 2597, as he investigates the lost path that led humanity from the old world to this new civilization.

The intellectual journey behind The Age After reaches back to Salamanca in 1597 and to the tradition of the School of Salamanca, where Francisco Suárez and other thinkers challenged inherited assumptions about authority, human freedom, and the order of society. Centuries later, in Bismarck’s Berlin, a new relationship between the individual and the State began to take institutional form. The Age After connects these historical turning points to a question that has become urgent again: which ideas once helped humanity advance—and which inherited structures may now be limiting its freedom and creative potential? In other words: What if the system that is supposed to protect you is also limiting you?

The Riddle Vault turns that question into an investigation. The player is not simply given the answer. The player must uncover clues, reconstruct evidence and ask a second question: How did humanity get there?

The Age After is not a classic superhero world and it is not a dystopian cyberpunk future. It is a human-centered science-fiction universe about free will, advanced habitats, human potential and the long transition from inherited systems to the Advanced Age.

Why Ribele?

Riddle Vault — Archive Book 001 originates from the German book I Das Zeitalter Danach. Its title can be translated as “The Age After” and should not be created entirely behind closed doors.

The central idea of the german book I is that the future is not simply inherited; it is created. Its first nine chapters examine historical, philosophical and social questions that later became the foundation of the larger universe. The tenth chapter is deliberately different: it consists of a single image. That image does not close the story.

Riddle Vault — Archive Book 001 is designed as the first physical portal through that door. Instead of beginning with Book II, the mystery experience jumps directly into Part IV: The Advanced Age and invites the player to investigate the missing path between the old world and the civilization of 2597. This is where the mystery begins.

The pre-campaign therefore brings a community into the project for the first time, using polls and surveys to help create and refine the gameplay while measuring interest in one tangible product — Riddle Vault — Archive Book 001.

If the response is strong enough, the project moves forward with final game development, testing, the definitive gameplay presentation and limited physical production.

In simple words: this pre-campaign is not simply a validation tool. It is the first step in building a community around a tangible experience.

Game Development

The complete puzzle experience is currently being developed in cooperation with Unlock Your Gift, a team specialized in interactive riddles and puzzle-based experiences.

The intention is to build one coherent investigation rather than a collection of unrelated riddles. The final structure may include archive documents, physical clues, coded information, deduction, lock interactions and progressive discoveries, but the exact component list and rules will only be published after the design has been completed and tested.

This is why the pre-campaign does not yet publish a gameplay explanation. The product should be presented honestly: the physical gateway exists, the mystery premise exists, and the game inside is now being developed.

Risk and Challenges

  • The game inside the physical prototype is still in development. The exact rules, component list, difficulty, session length and player count will only be confirmed after testing.
  • This pre-campaign is not asking to believe that the game is already finished. It is inviting you to decide whether this physical mystery deserves to be completed, tested and produced as the first limited gateway into The Age After.
  • The approximately two-month development period is a working target, not a guaranteed completion date. Puzzle quality and playtesting take priority over speed.
  • Physical production includes 3D-printing and handcrafted manufacturing, electronics, locking hardware, assembly, quality-control, shipping risks and more details. Limiting the validation edition to a maximum of 50 units reduces—but does not eliminate—these risks.
  • Community participation is curated. Polls may influence selected product and worldbuilding decisions.
  • Future books, archive books, scripts, series, games or translations remain separate projects unless explicitly announced later.

Yes. A real outer book-shaped prototype has already been produced. The final mystery game that will live inside it is still being developed.

No. That is intentional and is being communicated openly. The complete riddle sequence, instructions, hint system, and final player flow are still in development and will be tested before the definitive campaign presentation.

One physical product: Riddle Vault — Archive Book 001, Founding Architect Edition. The planned validation edition is limited to a maximum of 50 units.

A story-driven, do-it-yourself riddle and escape-room-style physical mystery game. It is intended to feel like investigating a recovered archive rather than solving unrelated puzzles. Exact gameplay details will be published after development and testing.

No more than 50 units in the first validation edition, subject to successful validation, final development, supplier confirmation and production feasibility.

The current working target is approximately two months during the validation period, followed by final testing and preparation of the definitive gameplay presentation.

Yes, on selected aspects. Founding Architects may participate in polls and surveys about difficulty, guidance, presentation, physical interaction, clue style, and selected worldbuilding elements. Their input will help create and refine the gameplay. Final creative and technical decisions remain with the project team.

Because the gameplay is not yet final. The pre-campaign uses real prototype images, banners, story material, community polls, and development updates. The definitive video will be produced only after the game can be shown accurately.

No. The mystery game is designed to stand on its own. Das Zeitalter Danach is the original German foundation of the universe and adds deeper historical and philosophical context.

No. The published book is currently available in German. “The Age After” is the English meaning of the title and the international name used for the universe.

No. It opens one physical gateway into Part IV: The Advanced Age and deliberately leaves major parts of the universe unrevealed.

The community will not simply play a game after the development phase. They are helping validate the first interactive gateway into The Age After and becoming part of the project’s earliest community of Founding Architects
